the artist's view of technology

The artist, Nancy Worthington’s art combines hands-on entertainment with social observations and educational content which bringing humanity to technology through art. She embraces viewer sharing and emphasizing that through physical involvement. Her work reflects human conflict with nature and with our technological civilization. A vital part of this art is the exposure Worthington gives to the ambiguity, inconsistency and polarity of the human condition and it’s of social and psychological sting. Her images become a catalyst to awaken consciousness and to facilitate change through awareness for a better, more humane world.
After read this article that makes me feels more concern with the conflict condition and the problem underneath the technology and human society. Usually the view of the artist can reflect the question underneath the society and the problem that they point out is usually very concretive and serious. There are tons of examples that show the divergence situation of the improvement of technology and the shocked society. For example, that the cell phone is greatest invention in recent year and it is dramatic influence people’s daily life on positive side and negative side. Cell phone indeed helps improving the convenient of the communication. However, the over usage of the modern technology that might makes people think it is enough just communicate by the cell phone and forget that the face to face talk is much important for the people. Therefore, even though, technology is high-tech toady we still need to remember and aware the problem that might occurred by the modern technology.
